Financial Experience

We need elected officials that apply their values, real-world experience and common sense towards the complex problems of the public sector. For close to 10 years I have been working in corporate finance at Wells Fargo where I manage a multi-million dolllar operating budget. Each day I deal with real-world problems and I have to work cooperatively with others and think outside the box to solve them.

The Mounds View school board needs more members who can continually adapt to the needs of the constantly changing, technologically advanced children in the district. We should strive to be the pinnacle of excellence, not only in Minnesota but worldwide by exceeding our standards, not maintaining them.

Conduit To Community

I strongly believe that a school board member should be a conduit to the community. They should have an open line of communication with parents, teachers, administrators, students and tax payers. I am connecting to these groups in new ways. I have a website, actively blog, and have dialogues with community members on facebook and twitter.
